We received 435 responses to our survey. We learned that road trips are the most popular choice for the family getaway. In fact, a whopping 57 percent of respondents selected a car (their own or a rental), as the preferred mode of transportation for their family vacation. Airplanes ranked a distant second (33%), followed by a cruise (4%), camper/RV (3%) and train (2%).
