The Kona Tiki is a great value. The rooms are small but clean. Half of them face the ocean but you'll hear it no matter where your room is located. The hotel is a 50's style cinder block building; we're not talking fancy here. But the swimming pool is literally next to the ocean, seperated by a retaining wall; ocean salt-water sprays into the pool when big waves hit!! Gather your mai-tai fixings from the local liquor store and enjoy sunset next to the pool before dinner, when the managers light the tiki torches and blow the konch shells. It's a great experience!!!! And close to central Kona as well.
