The owners needed to wait to open and finish the Inn and replace some of the furnishings and paint the rooms. Close the hotel and put new carpet in the rooms, furniture, paint the walls, hang pictures. Bed needs some padding (mattress pad). Bring your own pillow unless you like sleeping on a fluff of foam. The sheets looked new, but the blanket was old (very old) The comforter was new. The carpet might have been cleaned, but it has spots all over it - not new - looked dirty. The walls in our room looked like they were being prepared to be painted - looks like they did a remodel and have not painted yet. Our bathroom was all new tile and looked very nice, but the wall looked like it needed to be painted or they did not match the paint very well - looked unfinished. If you want a closet for your clothes, be sure to ask for a room with a closet to hang your clothes. No place to hang clothes in some rooms. The furniture was a disgrace. I would not call the furniture antiques - horrible furnishing/lamps. They need to put some pictures on the walls in the room. No pictures - very boring. The halls needed to be vacuumed. It is a shame they took out the big fireplace downstairs - they should have made a fake fireplace. Downstairs in the lobby it was cold - need some heat. They asked for a $200.00 refundable deposit on your credit card??????? in case of damage - don't know what they were thinking - what would have we damaged - the unpainted walls. The cable on the tv was horrible - lines in picture. Lost electricity in the morning in room - maintenance man very nice. He worked quickly to get the electricity back on. This was a beautiful Inn and it needs lots of work - they are trying and it most cost a fortune - If you are looking for a luxury room - I feel this is not the Inn - rooms are not ready yet. Be sure to ask lots of questions about you room.
