Will stay there again.
We stayed at the John Milton for the recent Syracuse Cluster dog shows. They offered us a break on a few rooms booked together and limited the pet fee for multiple dogs. I was pleasantly surprised at the rooms - they were clean and bright, bathroom fixtures were old, but also clean. Rooms were big and comfortable, but lacking alarm clocks (one of my pet peeves). Big grassy area (well lit too) in front and side of the hotel for doggie potty, several well placed trash cans. One row of downstairs rooms is located right next to a Dunkin' Doughnuts - It was so easy to literally roll out of bed, get your DD's and be off to the dog show! Fairgrounds are an easy 10-15 minutes away, lots of restaurants in the area - Denny's across the street...
My country dog (as in it's really quiet at our house) was confused by quiet but nearly constant traffic outdoors to DD so I had to kennel for the settle. If your dog isn't the type to settle I'd ask for a room on the other side of the building. Also no parking on the DD side - which I thought was going to be an issue but it didn't end up bothering any of us.
I read earlier reviews and hoped for the best - if there were problems years ago they've obviously been corrected. I'll stay there again if we return to this show next year.
