Worst Place I Ever Stayed!

My husband and I stayed at Harborside House for 5 nights in October 2005, for a much-needed rest after dealing with a long, serious illness. Upon arrival, we were instructed to be out of our room by 9am the following morning for window washers. In the room, we were met with a list of rules and instructions, including that we were to make our own bed each day. Afternoon tea was advertised, but never served. We were provided only 2 towels and 2 washcloths for the entire 5 night stay. The bathroom was filthy, I actually cleaned the bathtub before I could use it. On the third day, a note was left in our room instructing me not to use the washcloths to remove my makeup (which was not waterproof, and easily washes out with a quality detergent). After we left, the "hostess" billed me for $25 to replace the 2 washcloths, claiming that the makeup would not wash out. We have stayed at numerous B&Bs across the country and in Europe, and have never been more disappointed, or treated more rudely, than we were here. I would strongly recommend that you choose another location.
