We loved it!

We have stayed at the Destin Holiday Inn several times over the years and have always had a wonderful stay each time, but in August 2005 we came to visit with our family from Venice Italy and every aspect of our stay was a joy, as it seemed the whole staff was energized and happy we were there. They answered our questions with a smile and when a bathroom light went out someone was there in 15 minutes to replace it. When we mis-entered our safe code someone was there in 15 minutes to help us open it. When we needed an extra bed for the youngest, they had it in our room in less than 1/2 hour and didnt charge us the customary fee. Thier beach was clean and we werent forced to pay for beach umbrellas but allowed to put up our own (this saved us a lot of money since we were there 6 days with 7 of us). They had events for kids (even though the hotel isnt all about families, they have a very nice bar area) that our children were able to enjoy even though they do not speak english. One night the hotel gave us pizza free and every day free ice cream. As we mentioned the hotel staff was awesome, but a special nod has to go to the hotels sales manager Jay Boles for his kind words that made us feel so welcome. Thanks!
