Traveled from Arizna to Indiana and back severl times. Of course because of our limited income and today's gasoline prices always looked for an inexpensive place to stay. Thought with an inexpensive national chain we'd get the best value, but found Motel 6s were the worst ! Even though they are a chain each Motel 6 is a franchise and no two are the same. Woke up in a Motel 6 in Deming, New Mexico to find a large puddle of water on the floor from a plumming leak !
Jay's inn at Vandalia, Illinois not only is very affordable, but was the highest quality with a very clean nicely furnished room and even a double leather Lazy Boy recliner !
I highly recomend Jay's Inn as one of the best values in the entire country.
