Locked in bathroom, leaking sink

My room was at the front of the motel, 2nd floor. We heard a lot of morning traffic swishing by. The bathroom sink leaked badly and I had to put towels down on the floor so that we wouldn't slip. I got locked in the bathroom and later on my daughter did as well. The bathroom doorknob was broken. I reported these problems to the front desk but no repairs were made while we were out that day and the desk manager didn't offer to change our room. The 2nd morning I brought the cleaning lady in and in Spanish I explained both problems to her. Yes, the motel is very convenient to the #30 bus and walking distance to shops and the Exploratorium. But certainly management could have been more accomodating, especially since I had a child with me. My bed was not made up but I did receive fresh towels. Go figure........ The man in the room above us walked back and forth from 3 - 4 AM and the floorboards in his room squeaked badly keeping us both awake for a long time. We paid $79. plus tax, but we should have been offered a change of room or a partial refund.
