Decent hotel, best location in Hilo

I booked a deluxe room here through their website. For $99 a night, this was a good value for a full service hotel. The lobby and grounds are very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and good sized, but kind of outdated. Everything functioned well and the beds were comfortable. Overall we were happy staying here. Hilo was smaller than we expected and finding good eats was a little difficult sometimes. But this was the best location if you are staying there. Great view, free parking, quick drive to waterfalls, shopping and the volcano.
The only small complaint we had was that the lobby smelled strongly of the nightly fish buffet every evening. It obviously couldn't be helped, but as vegetarians it was a little hard to take sometimes. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would go back if we returned to Hilo.
