You Get What You Pay For So....Grin and Bear It!\"
Can't understand any glowing reviews for the hotel! I can't over look mould, uncleanliness and a lethargic, unresponsive staff just because the price is right.
When and if you do decide to stay at this hotel, try to stay in "Block One". From what I understand, that's where most of the refurbished rooms are versus the mouldly, smelly ones in the other Blocks that need to be fixed. I stayed in "Block Five" after complaining about mould on the curtains and walls of the Block that I was moved from.
For the most part, I had to grin and bear my stay at the Casuarina to make the best of it! And believe me, with such an unaccommodating staff there was a lot of grining a bearing going on!!! The staff can make you feel as if you are annoying then with any question you might have, when tI had many questions to be asked such as: when is someone coming to clean my room, or why is my internet connection not working, or where is the person you said was coming to look into my internet connection problems two days ago, or what happen to the water sports the hotel claim to offer, or must I ask all my questions at the front desk because no answers the telephone when I call from my room etc... You know, asking your basic "Im am a guest at your hotel, just trying to get what I paid for" questions.
According to the mixed reviews I can understand why someone would take a chance and stay at this hotel; however, sometimes you get what you pay for. If you are a discerning individual this is not the place for you because not for nothing, the least one can ask for from a hotel stay is a helpful staff and a clean room. I will never stay at any Almond Resort anywhere if the Casuarina is indicative of their properties.
