you get what you pay for!
we called in advance to see if we could check in a day early. when we got there a lady was working the desk. she was very friendly. But she never told us that after 10pm there was no one working at the motel and it seemed a little off. we wanted ice and couldn't get it and had a few questions but there was no where for us to ask anyone and nothing informing us of when they would be back.
the room was fine but there were alot of things that wern't finished in the room. there were three lamps that wern't plugged in with no where to plug them. As well as an extra tv that was just sitting on the desk taking up space. The bed sheets looked clean but smelled like a sweaty odour.
The bath room was also clean for the most part but was also unfinished. there was a board from the floor to the ceiling that wasn't nailed in and there was no screen in the window, so this allowed bugs to get in.
We had booked three rooms for the following night for our friends and their rooms all seemed fine. I didn't like how we got stuck in the only unfinished room when the one next door wasn't being used and was in good shape.
When our friends checked in another lady was at the desk, still a nice lady but she didn't know how to use the debit machine so she gave our friend the key and told him he could take care of it when the manger came in later. We were gone before he showed up so we figured that he could pay upon checking out, since they did have my credit card on hand. In the morning when we went to check out ahead of our friends, the manager was very rude to me. He first asked if my friends were planning on comming in to check out becasue they hadn't paid yet. I said they were and he made a rude comment about how they hadn't done so the day before. So I had reminded him that if there had been a problem that they did have a credit card on hand and that they could have called me. then he went on again about how payment must be made before they get their key and that they should have never have gotten a key at all. I asked if there were any signs informing the public of this and his response was " how did you buy that car out there? You paid for it before you got it didn't you?" I said no that i gave the dealership my signature and a void check and drove it off the lot. His comment to that was "yea right"
After that i don't think i will ever stay at a motel again especially that one!!! i knew that it wasn't the Motor Inn, or the fairmont, but that motel needs a little more costomer service!
