bed bugs, Bettwanzen, punaises des lits
In general, Kimi Ryokan is clean, elegant, conveniently located and in OK surroundings. Rooms are small but you wouldn't come to Tokyo in order to stay at the hostel, would you?
However, they currently have a huge problem with bed bugs. I've stayed for five nights (as bed bug bites take a while to show up) and seem to have been bitten every night, even after requesting a new room on a different floor. (Other people staying there confirmed "strange mosquito bites", so it's not an isolated problem.) I've also found two bed bugs so I'm definitely sure about the cause.
At the same time, management was trying to be helpful and friendly and refunded most of my money. However, I'm not sure whether they know how to handle the situation so I would advise not to stay there in the near future.
