The service is superb. We arrived very early (5:30am, scheduled for noon!). The night watchman and Ruth were very gracious and accomodated our arrival by escorting us to our rooms. Ours was a charming little room overlooking the park. There's no TV, radio or phone! What a blessing! These conveniences were in the library/common room just across from the dining room, so they're available if you insist. But why bother -- the city is at your doorstep. A short walk to the park, Institute and Jardin. Great location. We took the meal plan -- breakfast (8-10am) and dinner (7:30pm except Sunday 2pm) daily. Best bargain in town! Ask for Ruth's cookbook. It's a delight.
