You get what you pay for.

My stay overall at the pan pacific was pretty good. Let me preface this by saying I am very picky about what and where I eat whenever I travel abroad. The Breakfast buffet was outstanding the buffet was staff very friendly and even to the time to remember my name after the 1st time I went to the breakfast (Could be I am a 6'2" US Marine but I will give them the benefit of the doubt). The area leaves a little bit to be desired but its Manila so what do you really expect. There is a coffee shop in the hotel but I would suggest the Starbucks which is about a 3 minute walk down the road. Robinson Mall is nice and there is a McDonalds, TGI Fridays and a couple other nice places to eat as well as shop if you were so inclined. I suppose I would suggest doing the walk during the day nothing to bad just some beggers. Ok back to the hotel, The bathroom nice layout plenty of room for 2 in both the shower and bathtub. The AC in the room may have been working improperly or I might just be particular about it. Even on full on the room didnt get cold, it did get cooler but not cold like you would expect. I though did not mention this to the staff so maybe it could of been fixed. But having a cold room at night would of been just one of those things to help you sleep and get use to the time change. The TV was small for the room size. Beds were comfortable extra pillows were provided. There is internet conn. in room but I didnt use. In the hotel there is a little shopping/resturaunt area I felt was over priced not a rip off just over priced. Entire Staff was very friendly and well kept. Room service was fast and reasonably priced. Maid service did well and worked with my schedule. Check out was quick and they arranged a hotel car to the airport which saved more time and you will need it for the Manila airport (get there at least 3 hours prior Trust me). The hotel didnt convert pesos back to dollars which was incovient. The first night if you get there late like I did there is a karoke bar in the store area for drinks the bartenders are good guys and were helpful with the to do's and not do's for Manila.
