Wonderful Inn/Great Food!

This inn is pefect for an individual, adult friends, or couple get away. The Chandric gave us memories not soon forgotten and pulled all the elements you would hope for together for the perfect inn experience. We were warmly greeted by owner Ric who is accommodating, professional, and genuine. The house is charming and soothing in modern clean design including the bedrooms. Our room was tranquil with fluffy pillows a white down comforter contrasting handsome dark wood furniture. No tv's and telephones allow for true relaxation. Downstairs, there are newspapers to read in front of the fire, a pool and jacuzzi in back and complimentary tea in the mornings and wine/water in the afternoon. Ric is a trained chef and treats his guests to an exquisite home made breakfast. It's integral to the whole Chanric experience. The night before your breakfast, the aromas from the kitchen waft through the house as you wait in anticipation of morning! The menu changes daily but here is what we were lucky to experience: pear/walnut bread, papaya-ginger soup, poached eggs atop ratatouille, crunchy home made bread, coffee, tea, juice. Ric is the perfect host in that he is available and friendly yet not obtrussive. We loved it and we will return! There are nice couple spa packages down the street at the Lavendar Hill Spa. They are professional and a do a great job. There is also a very interesting Bale Mill on hwy 128 5 miles south of Calistoga that gives wonderful mill tours and sells delicious flour.
