This place is weird
This place is really wierd.
Pro: It has a great location -- near the Landing -- if that's what you want. My room looked like it was an apartment. Could be good for a business traveler staying there for a week -- full kitchen, living area, huge bathroom, large bedroom, closet. Great apartment type space. Did not feel like a hotel. Staff was friendly and suggested good places to eat on the Landing.
Con: No parking garage. Staff suggested parking 3 blocks away when there were closer CHEAPER empty garages very close by. Checkin is difficult as you have to park in a traffic lane at a busy intersection full of unpatient drivers. Someone else mentioned it was a ghosttown -- that's a good way to describe it. Keep in mind there are very few amenities. Not even a phonebook in the room. The restaurant in the lobby was closed. It's called a spa -- is there one? I didn't even bother to go downstairs to look. The place is sort of dirty too. Hallway to my room was dirty. Carpet in room had stains all over it. Couch in the living area had FILTHY stains on it -- what were those stains? Ugh don't want to know.
The lobby has a cool concept going on, but it's uninviting and just so strange. The price isn't that great either -- stay at the Hampton across the street or the Drury Plaza a few blocks away. This hotel was just too dirty. I felt itchy and unclean after I left.
