I am Regina Robinson,
On August 18th, 2012, My family and I checked into your hotel in the 4 rooms that we booked. The hotel was dirty and staff were not responsive. I reserved this hotel through Expedia and the package was supposed to include a Free cocktail person which we never got and we were made to wait until 3pm to check in even though the hotel had plenty of rooms available.
My daughter called me at 3am in the morning on 8/19 to say that she was really itchy and could not sleep. At 9am that morning, we all (4 rooms) met for breakfast only to find out that we were all itching. My daughter had on a strapless blouse and had bug bites all across her back. We all had bug bites. I went up to the front desk and showed the receptionist her back. She said that the Manager was away and was not expected back anytime soon, so she offered to move us. My daughter was moved, but because we all know that if a hotel has bedbugs, it had bedbugs in all of the rooms. I call all of the other hotels in the area to move out of the hotel into another only to find that they were all booked. I asked for a refund of the woman behind the desk. She said that I needed to contact Expedia since we paid in advance through them. She also said that she would submit a formal complaint to the manager.
Once home, I contacted Expedia and told them the horrifying story and they contacted the hotel on my behalf to inquire about a refund, they have been told now every time they have called since August, that the manager is at a meeting and is not available.
The Cavalier Hotel in Miami Beach Florida owes me $883.92, as promised.
