Just got back from LV and happy to be back home. It just wasn't what I was expecting. I want to start out by saying something good. The place/grounds were beautiful. Los Tules didn't have too much going on so if you're looking to do nothing than this place is just for you. The beach was rocky and the water was murky. Take into account this was the "rainy season". The resturant was really good but closed for vacation our 2nd day there. The market was just across the street but take into account you have to carry your bags back. Beware of those pesty BUGS! Get OFF your first day there because they will eat you alive. You will get approach from every where by those very annoying sales people. They will offer you the moon for just 90min. of your time. RUN!! I'm on vacation and I don't want to be bothered every place that I go to take a tour. It's not worth it. The Pirate Boat ride was a blast! Thank Goodness for FiestaAmericana Hotel next door. They had food and booz. You just couldn't use the pool. Nice place though. Take the bus to save on money. Downtown was cool but stay out of Hooters. They had the worst hot wings I've ever eaten in my life. YUCK! Casa Blake just down the road( 5min. walk) had great food. They speak English and show the games on T.V. Wear comfy shoes because you break an ankle or two walking on the grounds. Good luck and I hope this helps. I think this place is great for a retirement home.
