Neat little spot
I went here for New Years weekend. It was recomended by guest services from Sierra Summit. It was everything that I was told it was going to be. The cabins were built in the 20's and 30's so it reflected that although they were tastefully decorated and gave it the woodsy feel. Our cabins heater made loud noises all night and the snowmobiles racing around all night made it hard to sleep. Make sure you bring any modern things that you might need. There are no phones, tv, radio, or clocks. A coffee maker is there though. The cabins are situated on a little hill so if you are going in winter make sure you have 4x4 to get to the top. Although I made it up in 2 wheel drive I could see some cars having some issues.
We ate in there restaurant on New Years.. I was surprised with the service being as good as it was. It was a delightful surprise. The food on the other hand was sub par.. I was disappointed to say the least. Its to bad because it is a neat little restaurant. Situated within arms reach is the full bar right next door and about 50 feet way is the marina/store.
Would I visit again? Possibly.. Would not go there to just vacation but, if I were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay the night before I went to Sierra Summit, I might stay here.
