wonderful hotel.

I have stayed in TAJ Palace for 5 nights in Octeber 2006. (I don't know why it took me a year to write this review).
Location: very close to Airport, Shopping Malls, restaurant, supermarkets. All what I nedded was in a walking distance! The size of the room was larger than most of the rooms I stayed in in many hotels. Facilities and decorations are just great.
Although the room was very clean (very very), you will notice that furnitures are getting old. When I checked-in there was a smell in the room. I reported this problem and I have been given another room right a way.
As my flight was scheduled to arrive early in the morning, I sent an email to the General Manager (Helmut Meckelburg) asking him for an early check-in. Although he was outside UAE at that time, he replied very quickly and his responce was positive. I (Thanks Helmut).
Finally, I would love to stay again in this hotel but enjoy trying different hotel every year.
