We Will Come Back!
Not sure what the posters below saw, but our suite was clean and looked totally new, which was a bit surprising, cause the guest book was full of comments indicating this was a busy place most of the summer. We had a wood view unit in the Chart building. It was shaded from the sun so it was always cool. No A/C needed, but we did use the ceiling fan in the bedroom one night. Loved the firm king bed.
If you're into nature, this is a great place. The scenery was beautiful, both the natural areas and their landscaping out be the pools. There are 3 outdoor pools. They were pretty busy most of the time, but an early morning swim with the sun just starting to clear the buildings and trees, was perfect. The indoor pool in the rec center was perfect for a later day swim, as it was almost empty, and there was a whirlpool right next to it.
We eat at the restaurant on the property called Carrington's. They have a great view of the bay and a golf course. The complex is on a bluff. If you want to eat outside (and a lot of people did), they have a nice deck, really cool. We ate inside and got to meet the bartender, Aaron (?). He was busy but took time to talk with us and answer questions.
The food was great. I had the Friday special, all-you-can-eat cod dinner. My wife had the grilled salmon. There was also a special separate menu featuring food with Door County cherries.
The weekend we were there they had two weddings going on, plus karaoke on Saturday night. The place was hopping with a lot of happy, smiling people.
This place is not in the mainstream, up the hill and in the woods from Egg Harbor, but it was still pretty busy. We loved it and hope to return next summer.
