Some good and bad

On arrival there was no fridge in the room, a tiny replacement one had to be brought in by maintenance. This was not placed in the cabinet but on the floor near the tv. Room was large but very cluttered with 2 x double beds. Why have 2 double beds with only 2 chairs in the room? I hate the shower in bath - water everywhere all over the floor. In-room internet is outrageous price - it is free at the Sandton Sun. Cable tv choise is limited compared with other hotels. The trouser press is a nice touch although closets are too small. Location is remote so 50 rand cab fare anywhere. On the good side there is an excellent bar with inexpensive quality meals and snacks. The buffet breakfast was good and economical. The same restaurant had a boring same again menu every night. The Thai restaurant only makes hot food. Yellow and mussaman curries should not burn your mouth or make your eyes water. but then again reasonably priced 100 rand for two courses with drinks extra. There is a mini mart on the ground floor so you really don't have to leave the hotel unless you want to. I would prefer to stay down town at the Sun but would be prepared to go downmarket to the Holiday Inn, so I probably wouldn't stay here again.
