wonderful, with some exceptions

The unit was lovely, and the resort was perfect for small children. The walk-in pools, the lazy river, the playground all catered to the needs of our 5- and 3- year-old grandchildren. The resort is convenient to shopping and restaurants, as well. However, there were some downsides. Though a sign clearly says "no glass in pool," guests were drinking beer out of glass bottles in the pools. The lazy river was littered with beer cans, and nobody seemed to have a problem with so much alcohol being consumed openly--no huggies to cover the cans-- with so many children around. Also, though our unit was lovely, there were some inconveniences. There wasn't enough lighting in the bedrooms because the ceiling fans didn't have lights; one room had only one small bedside lamp. In addition, the ice machine didn't work, there was no dining table and not enough bar stools for us all to eat, and the washer/dryer unit didn't work. Since we didn't try to use it until the night before we left, we had to leave with either soggy clothes (from the first washing attempt, which didn't spin and didn't get the water or soap out), and dirty beach towels. The dryer wouldn't work at all unless someone stood next to it and pushed the start button continuously. That left a bit of a damper on the visit. However, we are willing to give it another shot next year--in a unit different from 1114B
