Bedbug nightmare!

We thought we could save a buck by staying in this hotel, but never imagined what we encountered. Don�t get me wrong, we are not cheap, but we did not really want to pay top dollars for a fancy hotel if we are only going to go there to sleep. We were horrified once we got to our room in the Regency Inn. The carpets were filthy, looked like the rooms hadn�t been renovated in 30 years (unlike what other information on websites say), and smelled terrible. To our horror, we noticed some bugs crawling around, but due to our naivet� we did not really think that those little insects were the most horrendous pests in humankind (BEDBUGS!!! Yes!). Hey, I had only heard about them in nursery rhymes and being from California, we were completely unfamiliar with them. So we coexisted with them for 3 nights, hoping that they would be harmless. On the last day, we realized that they had been biting us (bug bite inflammation ensued) all along. Those nasty suckers! And worst of all, now that we got back home we have realized that they traveled with us and have started an infestation in our own home. :�( This is a nightmare! We have sooo many bites; it�s embarrassing. After doing some research, we have realized that they are almost impossible to get rid of and will now have to hire a professional exterminator! If you are traveling to NY city, do yourself a favor, stay away from this hotel. Has a good location, but not worth the nightmare.
