We won't go back!!
We arrived and were greeted appropriately. Entered our assigned timeshare and they are adorably cute in the way they are made and the efficiency. We noted the carpet was not tacked down in numerous places and was fraying. The floors were dirty--well the middle of the floors were clean but next to the walls and wall boards were dirty. Carpet was in need of shampooing. After sitting upon the couch it was so uncomfortable and was worn out. This is also a pull out couch so the furniture in the living room is in bad need of an upgrade. We unpacked, left and bought groceries and returned. The TV had constant lines across the screen even after they replaced it with another outdated TV set. We were very tired from traveling and looking forward to a nice nights rest--- laid on the mattress which was interspring and no boxspring-- just a plywood frame and of course, it was very hard to sleep on. We did get to sleep and the weather plunged to the 30's in degrees and we awoke at 2am very cold as the furnace had stopped working. the 24 hour line was called and security answered and arrived with 2 blankets and a space heater. Said that was the only space heater available and we plugged it in and no heat was produced. The next morning we made a trip to the office still cold and did speak with the General manager who called the maintenance man and he arrived. The maintenance man "Jim' informed us we did not now how to use the thermostat. (Well my husband is a master electrician and certainly knows thermostats), It was check by maintenanced and determined to be fixed by him and the General manager said there would be someone around all night tonight should we experience any more problems. Again we went to bed, worn out from the activities of the day and again at 2am no heat and this time we called the 24 hour number and received a voice mail. no one came to check on us or returned our call. Next morning means another trip to the office to try and get some heat in our timeshare as it was bitter cold. Office desk said that it had dipped much lower than expected and that the furnace would be checked. Again the maintenance man arrived who has little knowledge of what to do-- and this time we insisted on a new thermostat. My husband and I left the complex for the daily activity we had planned and upon return did find a new thermostat and from then on we had heat. We made a complaint about the cleanliness of the module and was told they would come and clean it for us but of course, no one came. Overall there was alot of excuses, activities were cancelled, staff were frazzled and overworked and some not very pleasant, Our wireless internet would not work at all even though we tried numerous times. I did attend a lecture for 90 minutes and received tickets to the Verde Canyon Railroad which was nice---I did not buy. Maybe I would have if the maintenace man would have been more knowledgeable and willing to assist with the heat issue--who knows. We left 2 days early as neither of us enjoyed the unit we stayed in. Sedona is beautiful but just stay somewhere else. In the future we will stay in a motel and then if we don't like it we can move to another motel or area. I will say the grounds upkeep was very good and the scenery beautiful with the little creeks and the fountains. If you can stand a hard bed then it won't bother you to sleep there but if it gets cold you may experience the same problem as we did. WE will not return to this time share in Sedona.
