Really liked being there
This is an outstanding hotel - unusually lavish oak paneling, carving, clestory windows, stained glass and bevelled glass doors, an excellent pub with fireplaces, good dining room, and a helpful and friendly cosmopolitan staff. Public spaces are decorated with lots of interesting early aviation memorabilia. City bus service right outside the door connects to Shannon airport and through Limerick and Ennis to the rest of Ireland. Despite its convenient location, we only heard 2 or 3 planes in a week and no traffic noise. The room was great - and I'm not that easy to please. Highly recommended by this Marylander.
