Service Recovery Needed
The hotel was in a good location and central to shopping and most sights. However, after arriving late at night, we were very disappointed that there was no room service and no hotel bistro or cafe to get a bite to eat. On one day of our stay, the elevator was out of order for nearly 12 hours! People were standing around the lobby, waiting for them to be fixed, as there was a total of 4 seating spaces in the tiny lobby area. No effort was made to provide added seating, water, light snacks, etc. They even neglected to put an "out of order" sign on the elevator! One poor couple had cardiac and ortho problems and were stuck without their belongings, etc. There was never any attempt at an apology for this inconvenience.
Also, the front desk was poorly manned. You had to shout so that whoever was sitting in the back room could come forward to the desk to help you out! However, the doormen were very helpful and weekend rates were quite reasonable.
