Not much to recommend here
I can't really believe some of the reviews for the Latham..wonder if mgmt. is cooking the books. The only positive for the Latham is its location at the heart of Rittenhouse Square.
I checked in b/c it was the only room I could find in R.S. The woman at the front desk was nice enough, gave me a hefty $10 discount and told me my room had a park view. What she failed to mention that is was a park view if you were Plastic Man and could elongate yourself 30 feet out the window, for mere mortals could only see a few inches of the beg. of the park.
The room was small and the furniture looked like it was from the 1940s. And ugly flowery bedding from QVC. I think thats what they mean by boutique hotel. The restaurant/bar was closed, the elevators are tiny and so is the lobby. Don't be fooled by website pics.
Wouldn't honor late checkout even tho' hotel wasn't full.
Only stay here if work is picking up the tab. Otherwise this should really be a $120/nite hotel, they get away with b/c of the location.
Go cheaper or spend a lil bit more and stay at the wonderful Sofitel block away, the suites there are awesome.
