Romantic and Rustic....Perfect winter getaway

I found Camp Richardson to be a great romantic getaway for us. It looks very romantic in the winter time all lit up with icicles dripping from the roof. And the jacuzzi at night is amazing. Perfect for the couple who just wants to steal away to Tahoe for the weekend for a good deal. The only things I disliked was that the room was smaller than most (it could be considered cozy though, perfect for one night), and that with it being such a dry cold, the sheets were rough and I received a very bad rugburn from them. You should also be advised that there are no phones in the rooms, and that there isn't a continental breakfast. But with the great deal you'll get from them, my reccomendation is to go to Harrah's Buffet for Breakfast. Much more than what you would get from the hotel anyway, and probably the best buffet I've ever eaten before. To sum it all up, great hotel for the romantic weekend getaway. Bad hotel for families/business.
