Incompetence abounds

The people at reception were totally incompetent. The only restaurant they would recommend was the one in a hotel owned by the same hotel group as them. Beyond that, it was as though they had never eaten a meal in this town. They scheduled our taxi back to the airport for the time our flight was supposed to take off. Housekeeping would consistently enter our room even when we said "Please come back later" through the door... or alternately they would come at 7:30 when we hadn't yet left for dinner, and then when we asked them to return in 30 minutes (in French), they would just never come back. Location is the only good thing about this run-down, overpriced hotel. Not exactly sure what inspired the French department of tourism to give it 4 stars.
