Absolutely horrible!! Avoid at all costs!

The hotel has incredibly rude and uncaring staff. We reserved a non-smoking room months in advance, yet we were given "the only room available," which was unfortunately a smoking-room.
In addition, there is a mandatory $7 fee for each day. The hotel desk refused to waive this extra charge. Parking is certainly not free, and costs $15/day.
The only windows in our room faced outward into the lobby. The "rustic" hard-wood floors were dirty and worn. The walls are crumbling, and like a previous reviewer warned, people can see through your blinds into your room. This is befitting of a one-star hotel. I have stayed in better 1-star hotels and hostels in Europe, and motel chains a la Super 8 are a better bet than this Ambassador any day.
Absolutely do not book at this hotel! I read the mixed reviews before coming, and I should have heeded their advice!
