Great location, but make sure you get a good room!

This is the best located hotel in Chamonix - it has a great terrace overlooking the busy central shopping area & restaurants. Excellent food & good service.
After this great first impression we were a little disappointed with our room. It was up in the rafters in a clearly older part of the hotel. Only one high small window and a slight damp smell in the bathroom & toilet. And there was no lift in our wing for transporting our heavy ski bags!
I would recommend this hotel to anybody wanting good value directly in the centre of Chamonix. But negotiate a good room before confirming your booking!
