Not the friendly place it used to be. I had a serious scheduling conflict arise during the busy season when the room would definitely be taken by someone else they wouldn't refund my deposit. The previous owners would never have cheated us in that way. Too bad -- we used to stay there every visit to RR; now: no way and don't recommend it anymore. As you can see from the comments, there is something definitely lacking in the current management.
My family has spent many thousands of dollars staying at Copper King over the years, so we definitely can recognize a change for the worse.
Hate to see "William" give up on Red River, but I'm sure Copper King had a lot to do with his opinion.
