The hotel is very near to the Vail Village and has a nice hot tub and heated pool. Breakfast is good but they need more seating. Don't plan on a quiet breakfast as the buffet tables abutt the dining tables.
The worse problem we had was the staff. They are mostly untrained foreigners whose knowledge of the area is severely lacking. They didn't know there were ski trail maps available under the desk. They gave us the wrong times for the opening of the lifts. They had no idea where the restaurants were and which were better than others. The bellman hid when we arrived so we had to lug everything up to the room. They couldn't even break a $20 bill for tips (NO MONEY - we were told in fractured English). The first room they gave us was right near a busy elevator. When I asked if it were possible to move, the girl at the desk didn't even look up and just said "NO". After getting her supervisor - with much ado - we found there were plenty of unused rooms to move into.
