I had oppurtunity to stay at the Ritz Carlton Boston during a society of engineers conference in 2004. The stay was like taking a trip back to the glamorous days of yesteryear. The service was excellent, including a quick complimentary shoe service each morning. The view of the neighboring Botanical Garden, Boston Common, and downtown skyline are breathtaking. The restaurant and bar is not to be missed. Be sure and treat yourself to the legendary Ritz Fizz, invented in the same bar, as you sit adjacent to the street and watch envious commuters pass by.
