70's Decor, gloomy, depressing
Our so called "suite" was up a steep staircase with the window facing the interior stairs with a light fixture that shown into the room all night. The main room was large, high ceilinged and very dark and depressing. We rented it because it had 2 queen beds and one king in its own room. The price was 140. night which would have been reasonable if it was a nice room. The decor was old and shabby, not rustic or "shabby chic". We read in the brochure that the place was updated in the early 70's to keep up with the times, and our room hadn't been updated since then. The hallway was very dirty, room not too bad. The 2nd night the toilet overflowed for no reason (we didn't flush anything that would plug it) and management was kind enough to lend us a plunger and towels to mop up the wet floor. The size of the room was good in that we had lots of snowmobile clothing so needed lot of room but certainly expected nicer accomadations for the price. Restaurant was ok and wait staff was good. Public bathroom was VERY dirty. Location is good, very close to Yellowstone entrance. Would NEVER stay here again!!
