Nice rooms but unreliable

I found a special deal on the hotel (297 euros plus local charges for three nights) which was excellent.
The room was great and the staff friendly.
The big shock came when I got home and checked my credit card bill and found an additional charge of 150 Euros.
I tried to email the hotel direct twice ... no reply. I tried to email sofitel direct ... no reply.
I find it hard to comprehend how a hotel chain with its size and reputation can firstly level a incorrect charge and then simply refuse to reply to all queries.
I wouldn't trust this Sofitel or any other after this experience.
