We loved the Governor's Hotel for the ambiance, staff, and location in old town. Everything we wanted to do was very close-shopping and eating. The food was great at Jake's Grill- great bar. Had breakfast there too.
Our room was nice, colors and furnishings, room service was right there, nice thick robes. If there was anything to pick on it would be the mattress-need to update them.
My wife and I will come back to Portland to do more sight seeing and we will stay here again
