The front desk took 45 minutes to check us in. One person was training another but they were very polite and nice. We were informed we would love our room "It's one of the nicest in the hotel, with lots of room and overlooking the pool" #216. So we were surprised when it was in deplorable condition, the rug was filthy, patched, paint dribbled, stained - just awful. The bathtub had 3 inches of standing water in it. The bathroom sink was dirty.
We asked for another room. #220 was assigned. The floor was a little better but the mold around the bathtub had been painted over and was showing as the paint was peeling off the cover-up. We were tired after a long day's driving, but got back on the freeway and found a clean Holiday Inn Express in Phoenix.. glad to pay the premium to have a spotless room.
