Poor Check-in Service and Unprofessional Staff
Our group has stayed in this motel in relation to our family reunion held in Johnstown in July for the last several years. This year (July 18 & 19), the hotel staff lost our reservations (made months earlier) and they could not use the motel reservations computer as the staff told us the computer was "down". The staff acted harried and were rude - telling us there was nothing they could do even though we produced all the confirmation numbers. They told us they could not contact the general manager as she was out of town. One of the employees (a young lady who clearly did not want to be there) slammed around the office and told another employee she was going home and then she left. Since they had already rented our non-smoking rooms, they offered us smoking rooms (which we felt we were lucky to get as we could not find rooms elsewhere). They did not offer any discounts and stared at us as if we were the problem. We had to spend two nights in the stinking smoking room because of this hotel's incompetence. I have since attempted to contact the general manager twice during normal business hours. I was told both times that she had gone home early. Stay away from this motel unless you enjoy frustration.
