EXCELLENT place to stay!

We love this campground! We're staying here while waiting to buy a home in Cheyenne. After 2 weeks here, our impression has only gotten better! And our Siberian Husky loves it too! Everything is VERY clean, the property, bathrooms, showers, laundry room, etc. Other reviews have used the word "dated" but that should not be taken in a bad way! Everything is exceptionally well maintained and "quaint". There are a lot of homey touches that make me smile! There are 2 areas to this park, the front one being older, with mature tree's and the office, cafe, pavillion and playground. The back area is newer, obviously added later. The shade tree's are not as big, but still 25-30' tall. And this area has it's own bathrooms as well, so no long walk to the main bathrooms. One of the deciding factors for us to try this park were the "dog runs". There is not 1, but 2 dog runs, one for each area. Our Husky, coming from a home with a backyard, loved being turned loose and playing with the other campers dogs! And for long walks, the park is located in a very nice older neighborhood, where one could easily go for a hearty walk! There is an area for longer term campers like us, in which the rental spaces can be larger or smaller, depending on how much one wants to pay. However, it is EXTREMELY important to note, that all the long term campers are held to a certain standard and all the sites are still very clean and uncluttered. The staff is always around, and if you need anything, they are very accomodating. They will even fill your propane tanks for you, without any extra cost (just the cost of propane, of course) or effort!!!!! They will take your tanks with their golf cart and fill them! The wireless works great, even when the signal strength is low. Yes, it DOES fluctuate, but has always worked for me! (it is actually faster than my internet at home in Arizona!) And the FREE long distance phone next to the laundry room was a surprise bonus! It was Mother's Day, and I could call my mom in Canada, visit with her and tell her all about our adventures in Cheyenne with no stress, time limit, or cost. My cell phone provider would have charged me an arm and a leg!!!!! The interior roads are gravel, and occasionally dusty, but no more than any other place in Cheyenne. This is the West, and the dust is nothing compared to other places I have stayed. The wind has been bad occasionally during our stay (May), but my stepdaughters assure me that it is not this bad during the summer! (Check out Baxter Blacks poem "Why The Trees All Lean In Wyoming", and enjoy the similarities, if you camp anywhere in Wyoming during the springtime!!!) We checked out several other RV parks in the area before we committed to AB Camping, and in comparison, they were very open, dingy, and run down. Marc, the owner of AB Camping, is friendly and very accommodating! And he cooks up a mean BBQ, so I hear! Haven't tried it yet, but have heard nothing negative so far!!! I do know that it smells great! If you require a pool, or miniature golf, this is NOT the place for you! But if you want a clean, friendly place with all other ammenities, I don't believe you will find anywhere better ot less expensive! Plus, after a long day on the road, you can order a BBQ dinner delivered to your campsite! Who else offers this??? A+++++++++++++
