Review title
Basic but conveniently located freeway close
Review excerpt
It does have wi-fi, and it's included in the price - unlike Motel 6 or Travelodge. It's right by the freeway so it was easy to find. Most of the other cheap motels in West Sac are farther down on West Capitol in towards the port and Sacramento proper. All the ones in Sacramento itself in this price range are probably way worse. There is an ice machine but you have to ask the front desk to get your ice for you and that means only doing it during office hours. The heating and air conditioning worked, but there wasn't a microwave or mini fridge in the room so I had to keep an ice bucket full. This place seems to have bedbugs, so after one week I look like I have chicken-pox. But that's what you get for anything less than $225 a week. People seem to live here monthly. If you're not here long enough to figure out where the real grocery stores are, there's a restaurant next door; otherwise it seems like kind of a "truck stop" location, way out at the edge of West Sac right by the freeway. If I were staying only one or two nights I probably would have picked Motel 6 or a Super 8. Oh the room was clean enough; it's the fact that in these older hotels wooden furniture and bed frames are where bedbugs live and breed.
