The Hilton Algiers suffers from the countries general inability to offer proffesional and efficient customer service. The Hilton has one excellent restaurant, reputed as one of the finest in the city, but the self service brasserie, the Algerian restaurant and room service offer sub standard food. Room service which is consistently poor, will readily appologise for delays and incorrect orders... what ever excuse they offer, believe me it's due only to their own inaptitude! The Hotel have a strict 'security' policy that prohibits any visiting females to enter clients rooms. Any women visiting the Hilton will find themselves constantly observed by the numerous male Hilton employees, not to mention the complex CCTV system that covers all corners of the Hotel. Apart from its proximity to the airport and the cities exhibition center, the Hilton is best avoided.
