Don't do it! Don't go there.
I'm an easy-going UK civil servant, but 6 weeks on I'm still fuming about my stay at this place.
We (me and four cycling mates) stayed here for one night only in mid-June 2007. It was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in in Europe. Nice Tourist Information rang the hotel and confirmed a price for the rooms, and that the 5 bikes would be stored free. When we got there the 2 rooms were 5 euros more than had been quoted on the phone, plus it was 5 euros per bike. Foolishly we stayed, because it was late in the day, and we were tired. We were then told we would have to pay in advance, which we did stupidly. The rooms were noisy from the traffic outside, and one of the windowless ensuite toilets had no light. When we told the manager he said he would come and replace the bulb. He didn't. When we were on our way out for a few drinks, we reminded him, and he said he'd do it while we were out. When we returned at 1am the bulb had still not been replaced, and it was only when we kicked up a fuss that he came up and replaced it! Un Petit Breakfast: two little rolls, awful orange-squash style `juice', passable coffee, and some fruit jam packets. As we finished, we asked if we could leave our baggage (panniers) with our bikes, in a corner of the bar. We were told no problem, and there was no charge. One hour later when we came down, we were told it would be 1.50 euros per bag (pannier)! A mate who'd spent 3 years in Paris and speaks French consumately argued fiercely with the manager, to no avail. Other points: limited channels on TV, not-great showers, 3 euro fee to use a fan!, not a nice/safe location for women alone at night. In short, AVOID!!!!
