Arlington should stay home
We stayed in the South Street Inn December 2005 and liked it so much we're going back this December. The place wasn't packed so they gave us one of the pricier rooms for the cost of our smaller room. Gotta love the gas fireplace in December!!! The staff was wonderful, the afternoon wine much appreciated, and breakfeast was delightful. Contrary to Arlingtons experience - the room was spotless and the bed linen quite crisp and comfortable. Yes - the bed is high. It's an antique and so much fun. Who goes to such a wonderful place to watch TV anyhow? Do yourself a favor and visit! The train can hardly be heard and the rumble is not disturbing whatsoever. Certainly didn't wake me up until my mother (railroad man's daughter) fairly squeeled with delight. Now THAT woke me up!!
