This is a nice motel. More down to earth than the bigger ones. Pleasant people to deal with.. We have always stayed at the Islander when we go there. Within walking distance from anything we wanted.. Priced to our liking too...
The traffic doesn't seem to be as much a bother like those closer to the Strand district. Nice short walk to the beach.
We have watched the changes from before hurricand Hugo to after.
Though we like to stay on the top floor where we can see all the lights on the Strand, as we get older, the lower floors are best for us. No elevators, but easy climb to the top floor.There is a nice pool, and convenient parking.
