The sheets were clean. Unfortunately, that's about the only thing that was clean. The kitchen dishes had not been washed well. The only clean pot had a loose handle. The room smelled of mold and mildew - airing it out the whole day did not help. Outlet plate covers were missing. One lamp was broken. Shelves had a thick layer of dust.
It all pales next to the rodent infestation. There was mouse poop in the shower, on the bath rug, on the spare blankets in the closet, on the kitchen counter, and scattered around. The mice were loud running inside the ceiling (it explained the duct tape patches) and walls all night - and got us out of bed when they tackled our groceries (they went for the chips). The owner was nice, but the place is in desperate need of an overhaul. If that sort of thing does not bother you, it is a great price in a secluded location.
