Larger rooms, smaller price
My two sisters, my brother-in-law, my husband and I stayed at the Hotel Langlois in early November, 2004. My sister and her husband had a suite, we had a double and my other sister has a single. All three rooms in this small and charming hotel were larger than average (for Paris) and were decorated in gorgeous antiques. The rooms were spotless and quiet. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, but the breakfast room was sunny and cheerful.
The hotel is located in the 9th , with a metro stop about a block away, and just a few blocks from the big department stores on Blvd. Haussman. Prices, when we stayed there, ranged from 99 euros for the single to 135 euros for the suite. Although the location was not as convenient to many of the major tourist attractions as places I have stayed in the 5th and 6th, the metro system makes all of Paris convenient.
If you wish to see the hotel and some of the rooms, just rent a DVD! It is featured in The Truth About Charlie (the 2002 remake of Charade.) I would definitely stay at Hotel Langlois again. It was a lovely hotel and a very good value.
