Beware Kata Villa

The prices of meals and drinks change nearly daily, we were there anf breakfast went up by 25% when we were there with no notice, drinks by the pool also went up by 20% with no notice. Water in the bathroom was orange and looked like rust, managment do not allow any Thai music to be played only sad old English, very little atmosphere and staff are nice but clearly scared to death of the Boss, Many unaccaptable rules in place. Very noisy rooms. The pool area and balcony area of my room stunk of raw sewerage. On a good point the rooms are very clean and the cleaning staff were very good and very nice to talk to. Very limited Thai menu. Kata Villa needs to be avoided if you want to stay in a real Thailand Hotel with all the usual charm they should have. Kata Villa - Just like being at a hotel in Spain !!!!
