Obsolete but decent
Likes: the staff and the fact that it's safe. The gardens are magnificent. Loads of birds, trees, flowers.
Also the internet access is the rooms works surprinsingly well (cost: 810 birrs/week - 510 birrs /24 hrs). It's a broadband connection which is hasslefree (no codes to enter - just plug in the network cable and pay at reception at the end of your stay).
TV is dodgy but wasn't there to watch it !
Food : not brilliant at all. the Ethiopian style restaurant is OK, but portions are huge.
The place is relatively clean.
Dislikes: THE SHOWER. It's either boiling hot or freezing, hardly ever in beetwen (esp. in the morning). You waste a huge amount of time and you come out in a bad mood.
In my room, the metal bar holding the shower curtain was stuck onto the wall with a piece of toilet paper stuffed inside it. Not quite European style 3 stars hotels, but sort of funny. It did hold the whole thing well though !
You can rent a sim card in one of the shops in the hotel, but it doesn't always work. Be prepared to struggle if you want your money back and be ready to wait if you want it recharged!
General impression: could be better for the price.
